Return To Work

Pixels can be brave too

Interactive digital activation, projection mapping an entire building, bespoke lighting and to top it all off - a brand new website.

Physical activation

MadeBrave’s evolution into more creative digital activities required something big and far reaching. For the new studio launch party, I created a Kinect driven, 80’s inspired, asteroid game where participants raced against the clock to destroy as many asteroids as possible using their body to control the digital character. Below, you can see two test renders of the fully interactive experience.

I also designed a bespoke projection mapped animation for the entire building, where the walls of the building fall apart revealing the event hero graphics. See below.

The Website

Designing an agency's website inhouse seems like a straightforward task but often it proves to be a difficult challenge; juggling too many stakeholders and a never ending stream of creative ideas.

That being said, this was a great project to work on. That never ending stream of creative ideas I mentioned above? The studio’s chief, Andrew Dobbie, brought about some very fun and engaging debates to the table. Namely, what is the purpose of a creative agency's website?

I settled on two key roles the website would fulfil. First and foremost, it would be a haven of digital creativity. Showcasing playful digital design to promote company culture in the digital realm. Second, it acted as the studios long term memory. With a studio of 60 people, it's difficult for one person to know about everything going on in any great detail. The website would be a source of truth about everything we’ve worked on and most importantly; why we worked on it.
